Janelle "Nelly" is an Employment Specialist & Work Incentives Counselor certified in 2018 by Virginia Commonwealth University in collaboration with the Social Security Administration to provide in-depth benefits counseling to Social Security beneficiaries.  Benefits counseling helps beneficiaries understand how their SSI, Title II, public assistance and other federal benefits may change when they start working. A Work Incentives counselor offers benefits planning assistance to promote financial independence & self-sufficiency. Janelle has worked with Ticket to Work, Vocational Rehabilitation and Work Incentive Planning Assistance projects since 2016.
